Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Asia Argento, born in Rome to a household that includes actors and directors, pursued both professions. As a young girl the actress was first seen in her debut film Sergio Cittis's Sogni e bisogni. In 1988, Michele Soavi's The Church was directed by Michele Soavi and she played part of the character Cristina Comencini's Zoo. She was Nanni Moretti's daughter in the next season for Red Wood Pigeon (also directed Moretti) (1989). Close Friends, written and directed by Michele Placido in 1992, was the film that launched Asia's career off. As she grew older, playing girl roles, she went on to more complicated and mature characters. Cannes International Film Festival received the film well. Trauma (1996) as well as The Stendhal Sydrome are the others she's worked on with her famous father. The Phantom of the Opera, which was made in collaboration with her late father and is the final of three movies she's been involved in. The other two were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. Anna Lou, the first daughter of the couple was born in January 2001. The year 2002 saw Asia appear as Jean-Marc Bar's co-star The Red Siren (Olivier Megaton) and Vin Diesel was the star of Rob Cohen's action thriller The Action. Asia has also been the creator of several short stories, which have appeared in numerous prestigious magazines
